Our Solar business delivers industry leading, U.S.-made solar components. Role Purpose

The Maintenance Team Leader will provide proactive leadership and direction for all plant maintenance activities, ensuring equipment reliability, operational efficiency, and a strong safety-first culture. This role drives maintenance excellence by optimizing resources, fostering team development, and promoting continuous improvement to support production goals and exceed customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee shift maintenance operations, ensuring alignment with production targets and operational priorities.

  • Provide clear direction and prioritize tasks for maintenance team members during each shift.

  • Effectively manage personnel, materials, and equipment to maximize uptime, throughput, and maintenance quality while controlling costs.

  • Ensure all preventive, reactive, and predictive maintenance tasks are completed safely and meet or exceed internal production requirements.

  • Maintain strict compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards during all maintenance operations.

  • Champion a safety-first culture, ensuring all team members adhere to established protocols.

  • Foster a positive team culture while driving process discipline and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Monitor and report key maintenance metrics to leadership, ensuring alignment with production performance goals.

  • Develop staffing strategies, training programs, and tooling requirements to maintain a skilled and prepared workforce.

  • Build strong collaborative relationships with operators, stakeholders, and management to support operational success.

  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback and recognition to drive employee growth and engagement.

  • Lead onboarding and training for hourly maintenance employees to ensure quick integration and operational readiness.

Work Hours

  • Ability to work 12-hour 2-3-2 pitman schedule for 24/7 to support production operations.
  • Flexible hours may be required to support coverage/weekend/evenings operations requirements.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business, or related technical field and 2+ years of manufacturing maintenance experience.
  • In Lieu of a bachelor’s degree a 5 + years of direct supervision of maintenance employees in a fast-paced production environment.

Required Skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present technical information clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Proven ability to coach, mentor, and lead maintenance teams, setting clear expectations and driving accountability for results.
  • Experience collaborating across departments to align maintenance priorities with production goals and resolve issues quickly.

  • Demonstrates integrity and ethical decision-making while fostering a positive, safety-first culture.

  • Strong commitment to process discipline, ensuring compliance with maintenance procedures and continuous improvement practices.

  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and adapt to evolving technologies and processes.

  • Focused on delivering reliable service and support to internal production teams, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.

Desired Skills

  • Experience with overseeing maintenance teams during production ramping/fast-paced environment.
  • Experience training, mentoring and team building.
  • Experience with CMMS Software (Maximo) for tracking equipment maintenance.
  • Journeyman experience in applicable trade.

The range for this position is $79,166.00 - $108,854.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
