CNC Programmer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our team for the 1st shift. You will be responsible for programming and operating 3/5-axis CNC machines, conducting quality checks, and performing precision machining operations.

Responsibilities

• Program and operate the 3/5-axis CNC machine to perform cutting tasks.
• Conduct quality checks on machined parts, calculating dimensions and tolerances using mathematical knowledge and instruments such as micrometers and calipers.
• Perform repairs as needed.
• Set up, adjust, and operate basic and specialized machine tools for precision machining operations.
• Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machines.
• Work with materials such as titanium, nitronic 50 stainless, exotic metals, and aluminum.

Essential Skills

• CNC programming and operating experience with plastic mold injections.
• Experience with CAM software, with a preference for WorkNC.
• A minimum of 8-10 years of experience with 3/5-axis machines.
• Experience in complex, multiaxial setups and cutting using a variety of materials and weldments.
• Effective communication skills with management regarding employee and supply needs.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with FANUC and Heidenhain controls is preferred.
• Proficiency in WorkNC is a plus.

Work Environment

The work schedule is Monday to Friday from 7 AM to 4 PM, with occasional Saturdays when necessary. You will be working with advanced CNC machinery and a variety of materials in a supportive and professional setting.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Rockford, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $72800.00/yr.
