Infectious Disease - Physician - Ann Arbor, MI (Ann Arbor)

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group has a full-time employment opportunity for a Board Certified or Board Eligible Infectious Disease physician to join a well-established multi-specialty group practice located in Ann Arbor, Michigan .

The selected candidate will join eight other physicians and one APP in a group practice specializing in adult infections. Our providers have expertise in HIV, hepatitis, wound care, global health, TB, antimicrobial stewardship, hospital epidemiology, bone/joint infections, research, and hospital leadership. We have a robust pharmacy department and a dedicated ID/antimicrobial stewardship pharmacist.

This role is primarily inpatient, with some outpatient practice, typically half a day per week. The clinic includes medical assistants and an HIV/ID nurse. Rounding assistance during the week is provided by an advanced practice professional (APP). Call duties are shared equally among the group, with weekend call at a 1:9 ratio, supported by ID fellows and/or APPs.

The hospital is a tertiary referral center with a long-term acute care hospital. Telemedicine consultations are available for St. Joes Livingston, with plans to expand in-person coverage. We use EPIC EMR.

This position offers opportunities for academic and research activities, including teaching medical students, residents, and fellows. Our fellowship program has 2-3 fellows. Educational events include ID Grand Rounds, noon conferences, and microbiology rounds. Many providers have published nationally recognized research and hold leadership roles. Our group actively participates in hospital committees and leadership.
