Summary

Own and optimize the PLEX ERP system while driving automation, KPI visibility, and continuous improvement. Partner with leadership to solve complex problems, streamline processes, and implement scalable, data-driven and AI-enabled solutions.

Functions

PLEX ERP Expertise & System Ownership

• Serve as the go-to expert for all things PLEX; conduct training for all staff to ensure proficiency
• Troubleshoot and resolve system issues rapidly with minimal business disruption
• Configure, optimize, and continuously improve PLEX workflows and functionality
• Ensure data integrity, system performance, and reliability
• Identify and implement system improvements proactively

Automation & KPI Development

• Design and deploy automated KPI dashboards and reporting systems
• Build scalable reporting solutions using available tools (BI platforms, SQL, exports, APIs)
• Partner with leadership to ensure visibility into real-time business performance

AI & Continuous Improvement

• Identify and implement AI and automation opportunities across departments
• Pilot practical AI use cases (reporting, workflow automation, forecasting, etc.)
• Stay current on emerging tools and quickly apply them where beneficial
• Drive a mindset of continuous improvement through technology

Problem Solving & Execution

• Act as a high-level problem solver and executor
• Diagnose root causes and implement permanent fixes - not just temporary solutions
• Handle multiple priorities and execute with speed and precision
• Take full ownership of tasks from identification through completion, including project management of PLEX and other assigned projects

Systems Integration & Process Optimization

• Improve and streamline business processes across operations, finance, and production
• Integrate PLEX with other tools and systems where needed
• Standardize workflows and eliminate inefficiencies

Technical Collaboration

• Work closely with leadership and departments to understand challenges and deliver solutions
• Coordinate with external IT vendors when needed—but remain the primary internal expert
• Provide guidance and informal support to users (without being a helpdesk role)

Additional Systems & IT Responsibilities

• Manage PLEX user accounts, including setup, deactivation, and security permissions
• Support and help maintain backup systems and core IT services (email, antivirus, endpoint protection) in partnership with third-party IT providers to ensure data integrity and business continuity
• Provide light support and coordination for network infrastructure (servers, VLANs, Wi-Fi) in partnership with third-party IT providers
• Assist with hardware deployment, including workstations, printers, and peripherals as needed
• Support procurement of IT equipment and software

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time, exempt position that regularly requires 40-50 hours per week.

Education and Experience Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, or related field (preferred)
• 5–10+ years of experience in PLEX ERP system
• Proven experience:
• Troubleshooting and optimizing ERP systems
• Automating reports and business processes
• Working with data tools (SQL, Excel advanced, BI tools)
• Implementing or experimenting with AI tools

Work Environment

· Manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, chemicals, and temperature changes. PPE required
