Senior Electrical Engineering Manager – Troy, MI
An established manufacturer of electrical power solutions is looking for an experienced engineering leader to guide a growing design team. The company serves diverse sectors such as healthcare, data centers, construction, and government, and is investing heavily in sustainable and resilient energy technologies. With multiple U.S. facilities and a strong presence in custom solutions, this organization is known for solving complex engineering challenges at scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, coach, and manage a multidisciplinary team responsible for custom electrical product design.
- Partner with leaders across engineering, operations, and customer-facing groups to ensure accurate, timely project delivery.
- Refine design processes and implement best practices to boost quality, speed, and efficiency.
- Oversee design documentation, costing, and quoting activities.
- Establish and report performance metrics tied to engineering accuracy, output speed, and schedule adherence.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
- 10+ years of relevant experience, including 7+ years in a management role.
- Strong track record of cross-functional collaboration and influence.
- Experience with ECAD, MCAD, PCB design tools, ERP, and PLM systems.
- Ability to travel up to 10% within the U.S. and Canada.
