We are seeking an Experienced Handyman for the Oakland/Macomb/Wayne County area to become a part of our team!

As an experienced handyman you will be responsible for performing a wide range of repair, maintenance, and general upkeep tasks across various facilities and properties. Your expertise in various trades, excellent problem-solving skills, and attention to detail will be essential in ensuring the safety and functionality of the locations you are assigned.

Responsibilities:

Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance needs and repair issues.
Perform repairs on plumbing systems i.e. toilet repairs/replacements, faucet repairs/replacements, water heaters and etc. electrical fixtures troubleshooting, lamp and ballast replacements HVAC systems filter changes
Board up broken windows, doors, and buildings as needed.
Repair or replace damaged flooring, walls, and ceilings as needed.
Address minor carpentry and painting tasks. Ensure all work adheres to safety standards and regulations.

Documentation: Keep detailed records of maintenance and repair activities.
Maintain an inventory of basic tools, equipment, and supplies needed for various tasks. (Company will supply required specialty tools and supplies)

Communication: Interact with residents, tenants, and or managers to address maintenance requests. Collaborate with contractors and other professionals when specialized services are required.

Emergency Response: Be available for emergency repairs and address urgent maintenance issues promptly.

Problem Solving: Analyze problems and determine the most effective and efficient solutions.
Use critical thinking skills to diagnose complex issues and develop appropriate repair strategies.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience in general maintenance and repair work.
• Proficiency in multiple trades, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Physical stamina and dexterity to perform manual tasks and lift heavy objects.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Registered vehicle
