Metropolitan Behavioral Health (a UHS Facility)

A growing, 144-bed behavioral health facility – Metropolitan Behavioral Health Hospital provides a full continuum of inpatient services across the entire patient population, including specialty programs to serve adolescents, adults, and older adults, and perform behavioral health assessments 24 hours a day. Additionally, programs for co-occurring behavioral health and substance use issues are offered to meet the unique needs of this patient population. The facility provides a robust outpatient program utilizing a combination of group, family, and individual therapy.

Position Summary

The Milieu Specialist provides therapeutic milieu management, training of MHTs, and monitoring of the hospital units. Milieu management includes program content and philosophy, patient management training, environmental management, and staff competency. We adding to our staff with per diem Milieu Specialist.

Qualifications :

• Associates or bachelor’s degree in psychology or similar social sciences from an accredited college or university is required.
• Five years of professional experience in a mental health hospital setting required.
• Experience as a Lead MHT.
• Current certification as a Non-Violent Crisis Intervention instructor required or obtained within 5 months of being in the role.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to relate feedback and mentor existing & newly hired employees required.
• Current certification in BLS/CPR required.

Work Hours : This is per diem position for rotating shifts. Must be available to work rotating weekends and holidays.
