AUTOMOTIVE OFFICE SCANNER

THE POSITION: The Scanners are responsible for scanning documents, images, and other materials into digital files. They use specialized equipment to capture these items in high resolution so that they can be easily accessed later.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Basic computer skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Manual dexterity.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED certificate preferred.
• One to three years related experience and/or training.
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Scanning documents into electronic format, which may include document sorting, counting, and page separation.
• Filing paper documents into storage systems.
• Entering data into computer databases and maintaining records of stored files.
• Reviewing documents for accuracy and ensuring they are ready to be filed.
• Maintaining an inventory of paper stocks and supplies used for scanning.
• Maintaining security of confidential information by following office procedures.
• Reviewing documents for scanning errors such as smudges or lines and rescanning them if necessary.
• Scanner maintenance and cleaning.
• Leave work area clean and neat at the end of every shift.

Physical Requirements:

• Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25-50 pounds

• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
