Travel Licensed Practical Nurse Long-Term Care Job

TLC Healthforce
Traverse City, MI
Embark on a meaningful journey as a Licensed Practical Nurse in Long-Term Care, delivering compassionate, high‑quality care to residents in Michigan’s serene Traverse City. In this role, your clinical skill and human touch will illuminate daily life for seniors, supporting independence, comfort, and dignity. Envision yourself making a lasting impact in a community known for its natural beauty—from the crystal shores of Lake Michigan to the rolling dunes and lush forests that color the seasons. As part of our traveling team, you’ll not only provide essential care in Traverse City but also enjoy the opportunity to broaden your horizons across the United States, experiencing varied facilities, resident needs, and care models that sharpen your expertise and deepen your empathy.

Traverse City offers a unique blend of small‑town warmth and modern amenities. You’ll thrive among supportive staff, family‑oriented neighborhoods, and vibrant cultural scenes, with easy access to outdoor adventures, wineries, and waterfront dining. This assignment places you in a community where residents value companionship and quality of life, and your presence helps families experience reassurance and trust. For those who crave variety, our travel program also provides opportunities to work in additional U.S. locations, fostering professional growth while maintaining a predictable schedule and guaranteed hours.

Role specifics and benefits:
- Key responsibilities: Provide direct patient care to long‑term residents under the supervision of a registered nurse, including administering medications per physician orders, monitoring vital signs, and identifying changes in condition. Assist with activities of daily living, wound care, and routines that support mobility, nutrition, and hygiene. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans, perform accurate charting, document assessments and interventions, and participate in rounds. Contribute to falls prevention, infection control, and safety protocols, while offering compassionate emotional support to residents and their families.
- Growth and development: This role offers meaningful opportunities to strengthen geriatric clinical skills, with access to additional training and education in long‑term care best practices, palliative reasoning, and chronic disease management. As you demonstrate initiative and reliability, you’ll position yourself for potential extension opportunities and future leadership roles within the traveling program or partner facilities.
- Benefits and compensation: Enjoy a competitive package that includes a weekly pay range of $537-$579, with guaranteed hours of 36 per week. The assignment begins on 03/02/2026 and runs for several weeks, providing stability and predictability while you explore the region. In addition, you’ll have access to a signing bonus and housing assistance, designed to support a smooth transition into travel nursing and to reduce living expenses during the assignment. There are extension opportunities to continue making an impact beyond the initial term.
- Support and security: You won’t travel alone. Our dedicated travel support team is available 24/7 to help with onboarding, housing logistics, scheduling, and on‑the‑ground assistance so you can focus on patient care. We provide comprehensive guidance to ensure you feel prepared, confident, and connected from day one through the end of your contract.
- Location advantages: Traverse City’s blend of natural beauty, active community life, and accessible health networks creates a rewarding backdrop for nursing professionals. You’ll gain exposure to a variety of long‑term care settings within a welcoming Michigan landscape, with the option to rotate to other locales across the U.S. to broaden your clinical perspectives while maintaining steady hours and support.

Company values:
We are committed to empowering our staff to advance their careers in a supportive environment. Our culture centers on mentorship, continuous learning, and recognizing the value you bring to residents, families, and facility teams. By prioritizing collaborative practice, transparent communication, and resident‑centered care, we aim to cultivate confident professionals who thrive in dynamic settings and feel valued for their expertise and compassion.
