Novi Northville Montessori Center (DBA: Minto's Casa Novi) is a nurturing and vibrant Montessori dedicated to fostering a love of learning in young children. Our school provides a supportive environment where children thrive through hands-on, individualized learning experiences. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Montessori Qualified Pre-School Teacher to join our team.

Job Summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic Montessori certtified teacher to guide our pre-school students (ages 2 1/2 - 6 Yrs) in a prepared Montessori environment. The ideal candidate will inspire a love of learning, promote independence, and create a warm, inclusive classroom community.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement Montessori curriculum for pre-school-aged children, fostering intellectual, social, and emotional growth.
• Prepare and maintain an organized, engaging, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment.
• Observe and assess each childs progress, tailoring instruction to meet individual needs.
• Foster independence, self-discipline, and respect in students through Montessori principles.
• Collaborate with parents, providing regular updates on student progress and development.
• Work closely with colleagues to support school-wide goals and initiatives.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and behavior.
• Participate in professional development and school events.

Qualifications

• Montessori certification (AMS, AMI, or equivalent) for the pre-school level (ages 3-6).
• Bachelors degree in Education, Early Childhood Education, or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in a Montessori or early childhood education setting (preferred). With minimum of 2 years(preferred) as lead teacher.
• Strong understanding of Montessori philosophy and child development.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to create a nurturing, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment.
• Patience, creativity, and a passion for working with young children.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Background check and fingerprinting required.
