Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) is sought for a contract position serving a K-12 school environment in Midland, MI. This opportunity involves supporting speech and language development for students ranging in age from birth to 26 years, with caseloads including 35 to 60 students, adjusted according to the clinicians experience. Services may be provided across multiple school locations, offering flexibility in assignments and caseload management.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language evaluations and therapy for students from birth through young adulthood.
- Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to students unique communication needs.
- Collaborate with educators, caregivers, and support staff to promote effective communication strategies.
- Provide documentation and progress reports in compliance with federal and state guidelines.
- Potentially supervise or work alongside paraprofessionals or other therapy assistants.
Qualifications:
- Valid Michigan SLP license.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- Experience working with a diverse age range, ideally from birth to age 26.
- Ability to manage caseloads ranging from 35 to 60 students.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Willingness to work across multiple school settings.
Additional Details:
- Position is for the next school year with a contract arrangement.
- Full- or part-time candidates will be considered.
- Supervision and support may be provided by paraprofessionals such as RBT, CNA, or LPN staff.
- The district may offer virtual service options depending on individual arrangements.
