Role Summary:

As a Warranty & Quality Engineer , you will play a key role in monitoring product reliability in the field, managing warranty claims, and driving quality improvements across our smart EV lineup. You will collaborate closely with XPeng headquarters, service partners, and regional teams to resolve technical issues, reduce warranty costs, and enhance vehicle performance and customer confidence.

Key Responsibilities:

Warranty Management:

  • Review, validate, and process warranty claims from service partners according to XPeng policy and technical guidelines.
  • Analyze warranty cost data, failure trends, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate with internal departments for warranty recovery and reimbursement when applicable.
  • Maintain accurate warranty reporting tools and dashboards using platforms like Excel, Power BI, or XPeng’s internal systems.

Field Quality Assurance:

  • Investigate recurring field issues using real-time vehicle data, diagnostic logs, and service reports.
  • Support root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions.
  • Work with XPeng R&D, production, and software teams to provide feedback on product updates and over-the-air (OTA) issue resolution.
  • Conduct field audits, parts returns analysis, and dealership visits as necessary.

Technical Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with XPeng’s technical support, engineering, and quality assurance teams in HQ and international markets.
  • Provide insights from field data to help improve hardware, software, and user experience in future model updates.
  • Support rollout and feedback collection of service campaigns, recalls, and OTA updates.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Automotive Engineering, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years’ experience in a warranty, quality, or aftersales engineering role, preferably within EVs or smart mobility.
  • Familiarity with electric vehicle systems, including battery packs, inverters, ADAS, and connected car platforms.
  • Strong analytical skills with hands-on experience using diagnostic tools, CAN analysis, and vehicle log review.
  • Proficient in Excel, Power BI, or similar tools; experience with warranty or CRM systems is a plus.
  • Fluent in English; other European languages are a plus
