Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer / Firemarshal in Redford, MI , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Security Officer in an automotive location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service. This is a driving post, offering the opportunity to support daily operations through strong communication, professionalism, and integrity while working with a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first.

- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by following site-specific procedures and supporting security-related protocols at an automotive location.
- Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with supervisors, local authorities, and/or site contacts as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, production-adjacent spaces, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor information, and document security-related activities, observations, and incident details according to post procedures.
- Support emergency response activities and assist with traffic, access, and/or perimeter control during alarms, disruptions, or other site events.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Prior experience with Fire Supression systems is preferred
- Security experience in a Manufacurting Faciltiy is preferred
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
- The ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
