Demand Planner | St. Johns, MI

Salary Range: $68,000 - $102,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts for finished goods and components.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and operations to gather market intelligence and achieve consensus forecasts.
• Analyze forecast performance, identify root causes of forecast error, and implement corrective actions.
• Manage and optimize statistical forecasting models and demand planning software.
• Participate actively in the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, presenting forecasts and assumptions.
• Monitor inventory levels and recommend adjustments to optimize stock and service levels.
• Support new product introductions (NPIs) and promotions by developing initial demand projections.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Economics, or a related field.
• 3-5+ years of experience in demand planning or forecasting within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced planning/forecasting software.
• Strong analytical and statistical skills, with expertise in Excel and data interpretation.
• Knowledge of forecasting methodologies, S&OP processes, and inventory management principles.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with advanced statistical modeling tools (e.g., R, Python, SAS) for demand forecasting.
• APICS CSCP or CPIM certification.
• Proficiency with advanced planning systems such as SAP IBP, Oracle Demantra, or Blue Yonder.
• Experience in forecasting for New Product Introductions (NPI) or product lifecycle management.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
