APEX Placement & Consulting has partnered with a well-established precision machining and tool & die manufacturer in Sterling Heights, MI to hire an experienced CNC Vertical Milling Operator. This company manufactures and repairs tooling while producing precision components for the aerospace, forging, stamping, and industrial manufacturing industries.

First shift schedule (approximately 6:15/6:30 AM – 2:15/2:30 PM)

What You'll Be Doing

• Program, set up, and operate CNC vertical milling machines
• Make machine offsets, adjustments, and program edits as needed
• Perform complete machine setups for new production runs
• Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and specifications
• Inspect finished parts to ensure tight tolerances and quality standards are met
• Select appropriate tooling and fixtures for each job
• Maintain accurate production documentation
• Keep machines and work areas clean while following all safety procedures

What We're Looking For

Experience operating CNC Vertical Mills
Ability to perform setups and troubleshoot machining issues
Programming experience preferred
Experience with Mazak and/or Mazatrol is a strong plus
Ability to read blueprints and precision measuring instruments
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Reliable attendance and a team-oriented attitude
