AUTOMOTIVE SALES ASSISTANT

THE POSITION: The Automotive Sales Assistant works in the dealerships showroom to provide assistance to Sales Consultants, Sales Managers, and directly assisting customers.

Skills & Qualifications:

- Reynolds and Reynolds preferred but not mandatory – will train.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with ability to follow-through.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Valid driver’s license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) are required.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and ascertain what each customer wants or needs.
- Describe merchandise and explain use, operation, and care of merchandise to customers.
- Update customer records in dealerships applications as required.
- Contact customers to answer basic procedural questions.
- Coordinate test drives and trade vehicle appraisals.
- Pull vehicle invoices.
- Run rebate summaries on vehicles.
- Work with the finance department to obtain the necessary customer information for credit approvals.
- Work with the service department to ensure accessory installations.
- Schedule appointments & deliveries.
- Reconcile monthly volume of sales.
- Other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions.
- Regularly required to stand, talk, and hear.
- Frequently is required to walk and sit.
- Is potentially exposed to exhaust fumes or other airborne particles.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and peripheral vision.
