Position Summary:
The Production Supervisor will play a crucial role in overseeing and optimizing the production processes, ensuring the highest quality standards are met, and leading a team to achieve production targets. We may consider a 1st shift supervisor based on other responsibility changes. 1st supervisor is Lead-Role for 2nd shift supervisor.

Essential Responsibilities
Supervision and Leadership:
- Lead and motivate a team of production workers to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly production targets.
- Provide clear guidance, training, and support to ensure the team's success.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting a culture of safety, quality, and efficiency.
Production Planning and Scheduling:
- Collaborate with the production planning team to ensure efficient use of resources and optimal production flow.
- Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demands while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Monitor and adjust schedules as needed to address any production delays or issues.
Quality Assurance:
- Implement and enforce quality control measures to guarantee the production of high-quality furniture products.
- Conduct regular inspections of finished goods to ensure they meet established quality standards.
- Investigate and address any product defects or quality concerns promptly.
Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains within the production workflow.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices to enhance production processes.
Training and Development:
- Provide ongoing training to production staff on best practices, safety procedures, and quality standards.
- Identify skill gaps and work with the HR department to develop training programs for team members.
Communication:
- Maintain open and effective communication with production staff, management, and other relevant departments.
- Report regularly on production metrics, challenges, and successes.
- Collaborate with other supervisors and managers to ensure smooth coordination across shifts and departments.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Business Management, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in furniture manufacturing, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant production software.

Physical Demands:
The individual performing duties of this job, would occasionally be required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop or kneel, talk and hear, and use fingers and hands to feel objects, tools or controls. Work might entail significant time spent standing, exposure to extreme temperatures, enduring distracting/uncomfortable sounds and noise levels, as well as exposure to potentially hazardous conditions and equipment. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee may be required to climb stairs as needed to access various areas of the building. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, depth perceptions, compare colors and discern gloss differences, and the ability to adjust focus. Overtime may be necessary to meet business needs. This may include weekdays, weekends and/or holidays, and shift change
