Job Description

The Kitchen Assistant supports daily kitchen operations by keeping the workspace clean, organized, and running smoothly. This includes washing dishes, cleaning surfaces, and helping with basic prep tasks as needed. The Kitchen Assistant plays an important role in helping the chef maintain an efficient and clean kitchen environment.

The ideal candidate is dependable, takes pride in keeping things clean and organized, and works well as part of a small team. Previous experience in a kitchen or food service setting is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Wash and rinse pots, pans, and utensils from daily lunch preparation
• Load and unload dishwashers in the main kitchen and upstairs kitchenette
• Wipe down kitchen surfaces to maintain cleanliness
• Restock dishes, utensils, and supplies as needed
• Assist the chef with basic prep or cleanup tasks when requested
