Salary Range: $57,000 - $89,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed cost estimates for new and existing products, projects, and services.
• Prepare accurate and competitive sales quotations based on customer specifications and manufacturing capabilities.
• Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to determine material, labor, and overhead requirements.
• Obtain quotes from suppliers and subcontractors for raw materials, components, and specialized services.
• Identify and assess potential risks and opportunities associated with estimates, including scope changes and material price fluctuations.
• Maintain and update estimating databases, cost models, and pricing tools.
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, and production teams to ensure alignment on project scope and cost.

Recommended Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in estimating, cost analysis, or a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills for cost calculation, material take-offs, and labor estimation.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes, materials, and production methodologies.
• Experience with estimating software, ERP systems, and advanced Microsoft Excel functions.

Bonus Qualifications

• Proficiency with CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
• Experience with specific manufacturing processes such as CNC machining, welding, or injection molding.
• Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems for cost tracking and bill of materials management.
• Exposure to Lean manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies.
