Outside Sales Leader
Salesperson Job Summary:
A manufacturing organization is seeking a motivated and results-driven Salesperson to support business growth through lead generation, customer onboarding, and sales execution. This role is responsible for identifying and qualifying new target market customers, presenting the company’s proven processes and capabilities, and guiding new customers through the initial sales and order process. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, highly organized, and goal-oriented, with the ability to build lasting customer relationships and work cross-functionally with internal teams.
Salesperson Responsibilities:
- Generate new business opportunities through cold calling, referrals, networking, and prospecting within the CRM system
- Qualify and disqualify prospective customers in collaboration with the Sales Manager using the established prospecting process
- Present and promote the company’s Proven Process, including capabilities, equipment, total delivered value, and unique differentiators
- Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and in person, providing timely and accurate information
- Manage new customer onboarding, including completion of customer packets and required documentation
- Coordinate introductions between customer teams and internal teams to ensure a smooth transition
- Collect RFQs, part-specific information, and distribute details to engineering, estimating, and account management teams
- Secure purchase orders and serve as the primary point of contact through the initial order process
- Ensure customers receive products and services as expected, meeting quality, delivery, and service expectations
- Officially transition accounts to the assigned Account Manager after successful onboarding
- Maintain accurate prospect and customer records within the CRM system
- Support marketing initiatives, including LinkedIn networking, outreach efforts, newsletters, case studies, and trade show preparation
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support sales and marketing efforts
Schedule & Compensation:
- Schedule: Full-Time
- Compensation: $60,000-$80,000
Qualifications & Skills:
Required:
- Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities with attention to detail
- Proven ability to generate leads and manage a sales pipeline using a CRM system
- Goal-oriented mindset with motivation to meet or exceed sales targets
- Strong understanding of customer service principles and relationship management
- Ability to work effectively in both office and manufacturing environments
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel occasionally to customer sites
Working Conditions:
- Office environment with regular interaction on the shop floor
- Exposure to industrial noise and equipment; PPE required when on the shop floor
- Standard business hours with occasional flexibility to meet customer deadlines
- Commitment to safety protocols when visiting production areas or customer locations
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. occasionally
