Production Manager
**
Summary:**
The Production Manager will oversee day-to-day manufacturing operations with a focus on injection molding and electronics assembly. This role is responsible for leading supervisors and hourly production teams, ensuring safety, quality, cost, and delivery objectives are consistently met. The Production Manager will work cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance teams to drive continuous improvement, efficiency, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily production operations across injection molding and electronics assembly departments.
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of supervisors and hourly associates to achieve departmental goals.
- Ensure production schedules are met while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as scrap, downtime, throughput, and labor efficiency.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on lean manufacturing, process optimization, and cost reduction.
- Oversee compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Support new product launches and production trials, ensuring smooth integration into manufacturing.
- Manage staffing, training, and performance evaluation processes within the production department.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and employee engagement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Business, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of production management experience in manufacturing; injection molding experience required.
- Experience within electronics manufacturing or assembly strongly preferred.
- Proven track record of leading and developing production teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
