Maintenance Technician
Key Responsibilities Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on production equipment in accordance with all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).
Verify that guards and safety devices are properly installed and functioning before releasing equipment back to operations.
Monitor parts and supply inventory levels; request replacements and confirm receipt as needed.
Utilize maintenance management systems to document inspections, repairs, and equipment status.
Read and interpret blueprints, manuals, schematics, and technical drawings to diagnose and repair machinery.
Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and quality-related issues; escalate concerns when appropriate.
Perform emergency repairs, preventive maintenance, and equipment changeovers.
Identify and report safety, quality, or operational concerns that cannot be resolved independently.
Inspect machinery in operation and use precision tools to diagnose issues.
Fabricate or modify repair components using appropriate shop equipment.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Operate powered industrial vehicles and lifting equipment as required.
Participate in continuous improvement and problem-solving initiatives.
Comply with OSHA regulations and all company safety policies.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience in a heavy manufacturing or industrial environment.
Technical training, apprenticeship, military experience, or equivalent mechanical/electrical background preferred.
Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of electrical systems and PLC troubleshooting.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and schematics.
Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Effective communication skills and basic math proficiency.
Ability to pass job-related testing, physical examination, and drug screening.
Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work collaboratively.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds regularly.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crawl, reach, and perform repetitive motions as required.
Ability to work in an industrial manufacturing environment.
Be able to work 3PM - 1AM
