Acme Multi‑Spindle Setup and Calibration Technologist

Your mission

Transform complex prints into stable, efficient production. Guide teammates, protect uptime, and raise the bar on quality and safety—every shift.

How you’ll make impact

• Own the setup, installation, and precision calibration of Acme screw machines and sophisticated production equipment.
• Lead advanced troubleshooting to quickly resolve mechanical and operational issues.
• Partner with engineering, quality, and operations to optimize performance.
• Run pre-production checks, inspections, and tests to prevent surprises.
• Deploy corrective actions and proactive maintenance to boost reliability.
• Study blueprints, specs, and shop orders to define optimal tooling and sequencing.
• Coach junior technicians and embed setup best practices.
• Perform material handling and machine prep using powered industrial vehicles.
• Model rigorous safety—lockout/tagout included.
• Support other tasks essential to meeting production goals.

• Shift: 3:00 PM – 1:30 AM (2nd Shift)
• Pay Range: $30–$37 per hour, based on skills and experience

Qualifications

Required

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years in manufacturing/industrial settings with equipment setup experience.
• Demonstrated success setting up and maintaining Acme or other multi-spindle automatic screw machines.

Preferred

• Technical coursework or certifications (industrial technology, mechanical systems, machine tool operation).
• Experience with continuous improvement or optimization initiatives.

Physical requirements

• Lift and push/pull up to 30 lbs repeatedly.
• Operate in noisy manufacturing environments.
• Manual dexterity for small, precision components.
