Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize packaging solutions for new and existing products.
• Conduct testing and validation of packaging materials and designs to ensure product protection and integrity.
• Select appropriate packaging materials based on cost, performance, sustainability, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to integrate packaging into product development.
• Identify and implement cost reduction and efficiency improvements in packaging processes and materials.
• Ensure all packaging complies with relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and quality specifications.
• Support manufacturing operations by troubleshooting packaging equipment and resolving line issues.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in packaging development or engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and knowledge of various packaging materials and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with packaging testing methodologies (ISTA, ASTM) and quality standards.
• Demonstrated ability to manage packaging projects from concept through production launch.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with sustainable packaging design principles and life cycle assessment (LCA).
• Certification or practical experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Proficiency with packaging optimization software (e.g., CAPE, TOPS) for palletization and freight efficiency.
• Familiarity with automated packaging line equipment and robotics.
