CNC 5 Axis Machinist III (Large Parts)

Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate 5-axis CNC machining centers , including large bridge mills and horizontal machining centers
- Machine large, complex components (up to 100"+) to tight tolerances
- Interpret blueprints, GD&T, and CAD/CAM programs
- Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring tools
- Adjust offsets, tooling, and programs to maintain part quality
- Collaborate with programmers and engineers to optimize machining processes
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Document production activity and quality checks per company standards
Qualifications
- 5+ years of CNC machining experience (5-axis required)
- Experience with large-format machines (bridge mills, gantry mills, or large HMCs)
- Strong understanding of GD&T and blueprint reading
- Familiarity with aerospace/defense quality standards (AS9100 experience a plus)
- Ability to work with tight tolerances and complex geometries
- Experience machining exotic alloys (Inconel, titanium, stainless) preferred
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (ITAR compliant)
Preferred Experience
- Experience with machines such as OKK, Doosan, Awea, or similar
- Exposure to 5-axis simultaneous machining
- Knowledge of tooling strategies for large part machining
- Experience in prototype and low-volume production environments
Physical & Mental Demands : The following physical and mental demands consist of, but are not limited to the following.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Regular standing, bending, and manual assembly work.
- Work performed in a clean, organized, controlled manufacturing setting
