Project Manager

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Project Manager (Contract-to-Hire) in Lansing, MI. Company Overview: A technology-focused organization is seeking a Project Manager to support application development initiatives and cross-functional project delivery efforts. This contract-to-hire opportunity offers the potential to transition into a full-time role after 6-12 months based on performance and business needs. The role works closely with technical teams, business stakeholders, and senior project leadership to drive successful project execution within a structured delivery environment. Key Responsibilities:

• Manage one or more small to medium-sized projects from initiation through delivery
• Develop project plans, timelines, budgets, staffing plans, and resource allocations aligned to business objectives
• Define project scope, technical requirements, and delivery strategies in collaboration with stakeholders and development teams
• Coordinate activities across Agile teams and business units to ensure timely delivery of project milestones and objectives
• Monitor project progress, identify risks and dependencies, and implement mitigation strategies as needed
• Facilitate project meetings, status reporting, and communication with stakeholders and leadership teams
• Support change management processes and maintain project documentation in accordance with organizational standards
• Partner with enterprise project management and operational teams to improve delivery processes and team performance
• Utilize Agile and project portfolio management tools to track project progress, productivity, and delivery metrics
• Provide guidance and support to junior project staff and contribute to collaborative project planning efforts
• Assist senior project managers with larger-scale application development initiatives as needed
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• 3-5 years of experience in project management, preferably within application development or technology environments
• Prior experience supporting software development, systems implementation, or technical support initiatives
• Working knowledge of Agile and traditional project management methodologies
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments; SAFe experience preferred
• Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate cross-functional teams effectively
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact across technical and business audiences
• Experience using project portfolio management (PPM) and Agile tracking tools
• PMP, PMI-ACP, or other project management certifications preferred
