You will engage with clients to understand their automotive needs, effectively communicating service options and recommendations. Your role will include coordinating service appointments, managing workflow within the service department, and ensuring a seamless customer experience from start to finish. You'll work closely with technicians to relay service requirements and follow up on vehicle status, guaranteeing timely updates for customers.

A strong background of two to four years in a related field, coupled with a keen interest in technology, is essential to elevate the customer experience. Proficiency in utilizing automotive service management software will be crucial for scheduling appointments, documenting vehicle issues, and creating cost estimates. Excellent communication skills are paramount, enabling you to greet customers warmly, gather vital vehicle information, and convey complex details clearly and concisely. Your organization and follow-up skills will be instrumental in managing multiple tasks, prioritizing effectively, and ensuring timely updates to customers regarding their service status.
A valid driver's license is required, allowing you to inspect vehicles as needed. A customer-centric attitude and empathetic approach will help you build lasting relationships, ensuring every client's visit is smooth and satisfying.
Key responsibilities include the following. Others may be assigned:- Schedules service appointments.
- Greets customers in a timely, friendly manner and obtains vehicle information.
- Obtains customer and vehicle data prior to arrival when possible.
- Writes up customer's vehicle problems accurately and clearly on repair order.
- Refers to service history, inspects vehicle, and recommends additional needed service.
- Provides a complete and accurate written cost estimate for labor and parts.
- Checks on progress of repair throughout the day. Contacts customers regarding any changes in the estimate or promised time, explains cost and time requirements in detail, and gets proper authorization before any additional repairs are performed.
- Reviews repair orders to ensure that work is completed, and additional work and authorization is noted. Closes repair order as appropriate.
- Explains completed work and all charges to customers.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience and desire to work with technology to drive an exceptional customer experience.
- Excellent communication, organization, and follow-up skills.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effective.
- Valid driver's license.
