Salary Range: $49,000 - $81,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Traverse City that are seeking Mechanics. Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment and machinery.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic system failures.
• Repair and replace defective parts, components, and systems in production machinery.
• Conduct equipment inspections and tests to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities performed.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies during maintenance operations.
• Collaborate with production personnel to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining industrial mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems, motor controls, and ability to interpret schematics.
• Demonstrated ability to perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot complex equipment failures.
• Adherence to all safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
• Relevant technical degree or certification in industrial maintenance or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with PLC diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Stick).
• Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
• Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodology experience.
