No experience is needed, yet it is preferred. We’ll train the right candidate (you?) and help get you licensed (7A and 7F) so you can have a great career as a Mosquito Control Specialist. What we ask you to do is complete MDARD's Commercial Core test before we can hire you; we will reimburse you for the test ($55) upon successful completion of Commercial Core and you've worked for us for at least 3 months.

The duration of mosquito season varies. Our season runs April – October. We’re not a standard, run-of-the-mill pest control company. We have it so much better. We only treat outdoor pests like mosquitoes, ticks, and flies – no crawl spaces, no attics, and no scary sheds to deal with. And we offer perimeter pest control (spiders, ants, other creepy crawlers)

Instead, you get to work outside, drive a sweet company ride, and get a quick workout. You’ll make some bugs take a long nap and leave the customer to make fun memories outside again!

Your Mission if You Choose to Accept It - Responsibilities as a Mosquito Control Specialist…

· Conquering Mosquitoes – Yep, you are there to wage war on mosquitoes and other pesky insects that can ruin outdoor fun. Our customers depend on you to remove and repel these enemies from their yards and property.

· Doing It with Style – As the face of the Mosquito Joe brand, you bring professionalism by following our Mosquito Joe process. In addition, you go above and beyond to deliver an unforgettable customer service experience. That also means: you are OUTGOING , have a POSITIVE vibe and understand that we have to HUSTLE in order to complete our services QUICKLY and EFFICIENTLY.

· Communicating with the Local Office – You are the boots on the ground but will be in close communication with the office. This is key for making sure you have the right supplies to do the job and ensuring you know which property to treat!

This Mosquito Control Job is For You If…

· You love being outside, are at least 18 years old and have a valid driver license; you can also pass a background check with flying colors!

· You would rather be physically active than stuck behind a desk.

· You enjoy variety. Every property is different, with different problems to solve.

· You value working independently and are ready to use your excellent communication skills when you have the opportunity. (You might work solo or with a partner)

· You enjoy seasonal work. This is the type of job where you work hard for a 6-7 months of the year and can do something else the rest of the time. That also means that occasional weekend work has to be done in case of rain during the week; and you understand that you are working while some of your friends are enjoying the beach, boat or other activities while you sweat in order to help our clients enjoy their yard again.

To Succeed in this Role as a Mosquito Control Specialist…

· Always bring your A-game. Remember, you are always on a public stage. You might think no one is home or watching, but you might impress someone with your pest control professionalism!

· Take the training seriously. You’ll learn the proper guidelines for using the products, and we’ll even help you get licensed where required.

· Stay on schedule. We will give you the schedule and timing for the day (usually between 12 -20 appointments.)

· Do it right the first time. You don’t want the customer to call you back out to do it over.

· Leave the whining at home. Some days the work will be hard . It will be hot. You will not feel like working. Then your work ethic will kick in, and you’ll show up with a smile.

Job Requirements…

· There are a few minimum requirements for our Mosquito Control Specialist:

· You must be able to lift and carry a backpack, which weighs about 65 lbs. (This will be your strength training workout.)

· You must be able to walk with that backpack for a long period of time. (This will be your cardio workout. You could cancel your gym membership.)

· You must wear protective gear and a uniform that we will provide (You’ll be protecting yourself while looking good in uniform.)

· You must be able to handle the summer heat. (It's like being paid to go to the sauna.)

· And finally, you must not have moral qualms about being a pest assassin.

Benefits & Pay…

The pay range for this position is $17.00 (during training) to $21.00 - $25 and depends on whether you have prior experience in this or other similar mosquito or pest control positions (If you have a 7A and 7F license this is a Bonus!).
