The Senior Kitchen and Bath Designer is a full-time, on-site role located in Traverse City, MI. This role is responsible for meeting with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and budget, and translating those requirements into detailed kitchen and bath designs. Day-to-day tasks include creating design layouts and renderings, selecting materials and finishes, preparing proposals, and coordinating with cabinetry makers, installers, and other trades to ensure accurate execution. The designer will manage multiple projects, provide design guidance throughout the process, and maintain strong communication with clients from initial consultation through final installation. The role also involves supporting showroom activities, contributing to sales efforts, and maintaining organized project documentation.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated 5 years minimum experience in Kitchen & Bath Design, including space planning, layout, and material/finish selection.

• Strong Customer Service and Communication skills to build rapport, manage expectations, and guide clients through the design process.

• Sales experience with the ability to present designs, prepare estimates, and close projects in a consultative manner.

• In-depth knowledge of Cabinetry, including construction methods, product lines, and installation considerations.

• Proficiency with design software (e.g., 2020 Design, CAD tools) and basic computer skills for documentation and email communication.

• Solid organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple projects and deadlines.

• Previous experience in residential interior design, kitchen and bath studios, or related fields strongly preferred.

• Relevant education or training in interior design, architecture, or a closely related discipline is beneficial.
