Line Cook
La Strada Italian Kitchen & Bar is looking for a motivated and dependable Line Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate takes pride in preparing quality food, works well in a fast-paced environment, and maintains high standards of cleanliness and organization.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items according to La Strada’s recipes and quality standards.
- Set up and stock the assigned station before service.
- Maintain proper food handling, sanitation, and kitchen safety standards.
- Keep the workstation clean, organized, and properly stocked throughout service.
- Work efficiently with the kitchen team during busy periods.
- Follow portioning, presentation, and preparation guidelines.
- Assist with prep work and other kitchen duties as needed.
- Communicate effectively with the Chef and kitchen team.
- Help maintain a positive, professional, and respectful kitchen environment.
Qualifications:
- Previous line cook or restaurant kitchen experience preferred.
- Sauté experience in Italian cuisine
- Strong attention to detail and consistency.
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented.
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions.
- Willingness to learn and take direction.
