AWS API Developer

Akkodis is seeking an AWS API Developer for a Contract job with a client in Detroit, MI . The ideal candidate must have strong expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, AWS serverless architecture, and Apigee Edge , with a passion for innovation and collaboration.

Rate Range: $41.67/hour to $53.03/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

AWS API Developer Job Responsibilities Include

  • Design and build enterprise-grade APIs using AWS cloud technologies.
  • Develop and deploy serverless components using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, IAM, and Secrets Manager.
  • Deliver APIs end-to-end including planning, design, development, testing, and deployment.
  • Implement API policies using Apigee Edge and follow API-first design strategies.
  • Collaborate with service delivery teams to ensure platform reliability, scalability, and performance.
  • Prototype cloud-deployed services and infrastructure as code aligned with architectural standards.
  • Ensure adherence to logging, authentication, security, and error recovery best practices.
  • Participate in Agile delivery processes, including story sizing and solution recommendations.


Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Strong experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js.
  • Proven expertise in AWS serverless architecture and cloud deployments.
  • Experience with Apigee Edge platform and API-first design.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.

Pay Details: $41.67 to $53.03 per hour
