Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) – School Setting
Location: Plymouth, MI
Assignment Details
- Start Date: ASAP (through May 13, with potential extension to June 10)
- Duration: 6 Weeks
- Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- Hours: 37.5 hours/week (All billable)
Position Overview
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for a short-term, school-based assignment supporting middle school students. This role offers a structured and collaborative environment focused on delivering effective speech and language services.
Key Details
- Setting: Middle School (Liberty Middle School)
- Caseload: ~58 students
- Schedule: 5 x 7.5-hour days
- Duration: 6 weeks (extension possible)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide speech and language therapy services
- Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans
- Participate in IEP meetings and goal setting
- Maintain accurate documentation
- Collaborate with school staff and families
- Monitor and adjust therapy plans
- Ensure compliance with school guidelines
Required Qualifications
- Active Michigan SLP License (in hand)
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- School-based experience preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Knowledge of IEP processes
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with middle school students
- Ability to adapt in short-term assignments
- Familiarity with school-based therapy tools
