Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM-4:30 PM (weekends as needed)

Position Summary

The Safety Coordinator / Manager serves as a coach, leader, and subject-matter expert in construction safety. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining safety programs, ensuring regulatory compliance, conducting training, and promoting a proactive culture of safety across all job sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform job-site safety audits and inspections

• Ensure compliance with company, customer, and regulatory safety requirements

• Train employees on job-specific and industry safety standards

• Maintain OSHA logs and perform all required OSHA recordkeeping

• Investigate incidents, compile reports, and recommend corrective actions

• Serve as a resource for all safety-related concerns

• Assist with job-site safety planning and pre-task planning

• Participate in safety planning and coordination meetings

• Analyze safety data to identify trends and prevent future incidents

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Strong leadership and people-management skills

• Solid knowledge of construction safety and health regulations (OSHA)

• Ability to identify current and future safety risks and recommend corrective actions

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

• Ability to collaborate effectively with field and office teams

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction industry

Preferred Certifications

• Certified Safety Professional (CSP)

• Associate Safety Professional (ASP)

• Construction Health and Safety Technologist (CHST)

• OSHA 500 Trainer
