Administrative Support (Buyer Support Administrator)

Location: Farmington Hills, MI
Schedule: Full-Time | On-Site
Salary: $65,000 - $70,000 (Maximum)

About the Opportunity

Gehring LP is seeking a highly organized and dependable Administrative Support professional to provide day-to-day administrative assistance across several departments within our manufacturing operation. This position plays an important role in supporting Purchasing, Accounting, Aftermarket, and other internal teams by ensuring administrative processes run efficiently.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced office and manufacturing environment, has strong organizational skills, and thrives while supporting multiple departments.

Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the Purchasing department and other internal teams.

  • Assist with the creation, processing, and maintenance of purchase orders.

  • Prepare and distribute pick tickets and related documentation.

  • Enter, update, and maintain accurate data within company systems.

  • Support Purchasing, Accounting, Aftermarket, and additional departments as business needs require.

  • Maintain electronic and paper records with a high level of accuracy.

  • Communicate professionally with internal departments and external vendors.

  • Assist with reporting, document preparation, and general office administration.

  • Utilize Microsoft Office applications to create spreadsheets, reports, and correspondence.

  • Help ensure administrative workflows are completed accurately and on schedule.

  • Perform additional administrative duties as assigned.

QualificationsRequired
  • Previous administrative or office support experience.

  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Professional, dependable, and team-oriented attitude.

Preferred
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment.

  • Experience using an ERP system (preferred but not required).

  • Purchasing or procurement support experience is a plus.

Work Environment
  • Full-time, on-site position.

  • Combination of office and manufacturing plant environment.

  • Collaborative team atmosphere supporting multiple business functions.

Compensation
  • Salary: $65,000 - $70,000 annually (maximum salary range)

  • Full-time position with benefits available according to company policy.

The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys keeping operations organized, is comfortable supporting multiple departments simultaneously, and can quickly adapt to changing priorities. Experience in manufacturing administration or purchasing support is highly valued, but candidates with strong administrative backgrounds and excellent organizational skills are encouraged to apply.
