Facilities Manager | Byron Center, MI
Salary Range: $85,000 - $130,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of facility maintenance, including preventative and reactive repairs for production equipment, building systems, and infrastructure.
- Ensure strict compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA) across the manufacturing site.
- Manage and optimize facility budgets, including forecasting, cost control, and capital expenditure planning for maintenance and upgrades.
- Coordinate and manage external vendors and service providers for cleaning, security, waste management, and specialized technical services.
- Plan and execute facility improvement projects, renovations, and equipment installations to support manufacturing operations and expansion.
- Develop and implement energy management programs to optimize utility consumption and reduce operational costs.
Recommended Qualifications
- 5+ years of progressive facilities management experience, with a significant portion in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing), preventive maintenance programs, and CMMS.
- Proven ability to manage facilities projects, budgets, and external vendors effectively.
- In-depth knowledge of safety regulations (OSHA), building codes, and environmental compliance relevant to manufacturing operations.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills to manage a team and collaborate across departments.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience implementing or optimizing a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles (e.g., 5S, Kaizen) applied to facilities operations.
- Demonstrated experience managing capital improvement projects, facility expansions, or reconfigurations.
- Certification in Facilities Management (e.g., CFM, FMP) or energy management (e.g., CEM).
