Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer specializing in the design and development of CNC grinding machines to join our innovative engineering team. This role involves leading the mechanical design process from concept through troubleshooting post-assembly, ensuring precision and high performance in advanced CNC grinding equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components for CNC grinding machines, including spindles, linear guides, dressers, bearings, and structural frames.
  

• Drive innovation in grinding technology by improving thermal stability, vibration dampening, and tool life while meeting budget and timeline constraints.
  

• Set up and conduct simulations to validate the durability and performance of machine components.
  

• Oversee prototyping, assembly, and testing phases, refining designs based on test outcomes.
  

• Collaborate closely with Electrical and Applications Engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical and control systems.
  

• Communicate effectively with vendors and customers.
  

• Provide technical support and troubleshooting during machine assembly, commissioning, and field repairs.
  

• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, reduce costs, and boost productivity.
  

• Travel to customer sites or vendor facilities as needed.
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
  

• Minimum 2 years of practical experience in machine design, with a focus on CNC grinding or similar precision machinery.
  

• Proficiency in SolidWorks for 3D modeling, assemblies, drawings, and BOM creation; familiarity with AutoCAD 2D.
  

• Strong technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
  

• Understanding of engineering principles, machine systems, and design for manufacturability.
  

• Familiarity with Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
  

• Self-motivated with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  

• Knowledge of machine tool applications and manufacturing processes.
