Large utility company is looking for a Procurement Analyst in Jackson, MI. responsibilities:

• Maintain a high level of daily contact with outside vendors to manage business relationships.

• Coordinate the payment, delivery, scheduling, and organization of all purchases.

• Place orders systematically to ensure an ongoing and consistent supply of materials.

• Negotiate with vendors to ensure both parties clearly understand the terms of prospective agreements.

• Conduct meetings with clients and perform inspections of facilities as required.

• Analyze procurement data accurately to ensure the company honors its contractual obligations.

• Present a professional and reasonable demeanor during vendor interactions while upholding company interests.

• Balance office-based tasks with potentially significant amounts of travel for site visits.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in business management, business administration, or a related field is typically required.

• Professional experience is highly preferred, particularly in roles involving vendor-client interactions.

• Recent graduates may substitute professional experience with relevant internship experience in a related field.
