Key Responsibilities

• Develop, validate, and optimize CMM inspection programs using various software platforms.
• Interpret complex engineering drawings, CAD models, and GD&T specifications.
• Select appropriate CMM probes, fixtures, and measurement strategies for diverse parts.
• Execute CMM programs, inspect parts, and analyze measurement data for conformity.
• Generate comprehensive inspection reports and communicate findings to relevant teams.
• Troubleshoot and resolve CMM program errors, machine malfunctions, and measurement discrepancies.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality departments to ensure measurement accuracy and process improvement.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in CMM programming software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS).
• Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles.
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering blueprints and CAD models.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in CMM programming within a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of metrology principles and measurement techniques.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with other metrology equipment (e.g., vision systems, laser scanners, optical comparators).
• Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) principles and software.
• Proficiency in advanced CAD modeling for fixture design or analysis.
• Experience with scripting or automation for CMM routines or data analysis.
