Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement inventory management strategies to optimize stock levels and ensure material availability.
• Oversee procurement activities, including supplier selection, negotiation, and relationship management.
• Collaborate with production planning to ensure alignment of material flow with manufacturing schedules.
• Manage warehousing and logistics operations for efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of materials.
• Analyze material usage, lead times, and market trends to develop accurate demand forecasts.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the materials department to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the materials team to achieve departmental and organizational goals.

Recommended Qualifications

• Minimum 5-7 years of progressive experience in materials management, supply chain, or procurement within a manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for inventory planning, production scheduling, and procurement.
• Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and develop staff.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data-driven decision making and inventory optimization.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills to manage supplier relationships and internal stakeholders.

Bonus Qualifications

• APICS CSCP or CPIM certification
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
• Proficiency with advanced data analytics and forecasting software
• Experience with international sourcing and logistics
