Staff Accountant
DUTIES :
- Prepares balance sheet account reconciliations.
- Reviews and Updates Vault entries.
- Accounts payable.
- Accounts Receivables/Cash Receipting.
- Assists Finance Manager and/or CFO with bookkeeping and maintenance of financial records.
- Reconciles Pre-paid expenses.
- Records Progressive Slots liability.
- Retrieves and processes documents requested by third parties including, but not limited to credit card disputes, chargebacks, and returned items.
- Prepares and enters data into the Sage 100 system.
- Maintains and organizes General Ledger files and supporting documents.
- Must always practice and maintain confidentiality.
- All other duties as assigned.
SKILLS:
- Ability to uphold the highest level of confidentiality.
- Familiarity and experience with general office equipment, including but not limited to 10-Key calculator by touch, computerized financial systems, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) is required.
- Ability to write reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively respond to inquiries from vendors, managers, and employees.
- Ability to communicate information through spoken words and sentences that others will understand in a positive manner.
- Ability to complete assessments accurately and timely.
- Ability to demonstrate understanding of audits performed.
- Superior attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee the Finance Department in the absence of the Finance Manager.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE :
- Two to four years’ related experience and/or training preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
- High School Diploma or GED; 1-3 months of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT :
- Must be 18 at time of hire.
- Must be able to lift 25lbs or more.
- Must be able to demonstrate their US work authorization during the employment verification process.
- Must be able to pass a background investigation.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment Drug Test.
- Must have Covid Vaccinations, including booster.
- Must have a valid Wyoming Driver’s License
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Gaming License.
