Position Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Canadian Payroll Specialist to join a leading retail and consumer operations organization with a North American footprint. This role is responsible for end-to-end payroll processing for Canadian employees across multiple pay cycles while ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations.
This is a remote position working Eastern Standard Time hours: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM.
Essential Duties:
· Process payroll for approximately 500 Canada-based employees across multiple pay cycles.
· Ensure compliance with Canadian payroll laws, tax regulations, and reporting requirements.
· Review payroll data regularly to identify and resolve discrepancies
· Research, correct, and adjust payroll errors in a timely manner.
· Support year-end payroll processes, including T4, T4A, and RL-1 filings.
· Collaborate with HR, Accounting, IT, and external vendors on payroll matters.
· Generate standard and ad hoc reports for compliance, tax, and business needs.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
· 2-3+ years of Canadian payroll processing experience required.
· Strong knowledge of Canadian payroll laws, regulations, and tax requirements.
· Experience with payroll reporting, auditing, or data analysis.
Skills and Job-Specific Competencies:
· Experience with ADP and/or Workday payroll systems preferred.
· Strong knowledge of Canadian payroll compliance and tax filings.
· Advanced Excel and reporting capabilities.
· Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills.
· Ability to collaborate across departments and manage multiple priorities.
Travel Requirements: No travel will be required, unless at the client's discretion.

Salary Range: SolomonEdwards values your unique and individual experience and background. As such, we take a comprehensive approach when determining compensation for our roles. The compensation for this specific role is based on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to education, licensure and certifications, location, experience, and training. A reasonable estimate for the current hourly rate for this role is $38.
