Job title: Maintenance/Facilities Manager
Reports to: Plant Manager
Summary/Objective
The Maintenance Manager provides direction for employees responsible for the upkeep of buildings and grounds, the repair and maintenance of equipment and machinery, and modifications to the structure or layout of the facility.
People Management
- Organize outside contractors to maintain grounds including landscape and snow removal
- Manage entire custodial department including personnel
- Manage Maintenance Technicians on all three (3) shifts.
Relationship Management
- Assist in training and development of maintenance techs and future maintenance lead’s
- Assist with training new technicians, teaching them specifications to the equipment including standards and regulations to be met
- Develop and maintain policies and procedures to maintain safe work environment and equipment
- Reports on equipment at Weekly Meeting - all shifts
Skills and Attributes
- Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience• Working knowledge of MS Office Suite, proficient in Excel
- Excellent leadership and communication skills (verbal and written), organized and time management skills
- Ability to prioritize workload
Qualifications
- Journeyman Card or Vocational training certificat
- PLC Programming
- Fanuc Robot programming and troubleshooting
Physical Demands
- Required to stand for long periods of time and move about the facility
- Occasional lifting of items not to exceed 50 lbs
- Use of all required Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) - safety glasses, ear plugs, steel toe shoes
Work Environment
- Works in office environment 70% and Manufacturing Plant 30%
- Exposed to any number of elements.
