Home Office Underwriting Support

Auto-Owners Insurance, a top-rated insurance carrier, is seeking a motivated individual to join our team as an Underwriting Support Representative. The position requires the person to:

• Answer telephone and handle calls regarding status of pending applications and requirements. Using proper phone etiquette with accurate and timely responses.
• Operate Personal computer and general office equipment.
• Sort incoming and outgoing correspondence and determine proper action.
• Communicate with underwriters, agents, and others as needed to research problems and find solutions.
• Maintain files with prompt handling to help underwriters expedite decisions.
• Regular and predictable attendance in meeting a defined work schedule.

Desired Skills & Experience

• High school education or its equivalent is preferred
• Above average communication skills (written and verbal)
• Organize and interpret data
• Ability to handle multiple assignments
