Overview

We are seeking a dependable and motivated Window Covering / Drapery Installer / Repair Technician to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, problem-solving, and delivering excellent customer service. Experience with window coverings is preferred; however, candidates with strong mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Install window coverings, including blinds, shades, shutters, drapery, and related hardware
• Program motorized window coverings (remotes and mobile apps) and provide customers with a brief overview of app functionality
• Diagnose and repair window covering issues (cords, tilt mechanisms, motors, and other components)
• Measure windows and workspaces accurately
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, both in the shop and on job sites
• Interact professionally and courteously with customers in their homes and businesses
• Follow safety procedures and company installation standards
• Work independently and as part of a team to complete installations and service calls efficiently

Qualifications & Skills

• Mechanical aptitude and comfort using basic hand tools
• Basic technical aptitude, including the ability to learn and support programming of motorized shades and related apps
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks
• Reliable, punctual, and professional appearance
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Previous experience in window coverings, construction, maintenance, or a skilled trade is preferred

Compensation & Growth Opportunity

• Hourly compensation starting at $22–$30 per hour, based on experience
• Performance-based increase based on periodic reviews
• Annual bonus opportunity based on performance and company success
• Expected schedule of 25–30 hours per week during the first year, with a clear path to full-time hours in 2027
• Strong long-term opportunity for a stable, full-time role within the company

Employment Structure

• This position is primarily offered as a W-2 employee role
• An independent contractor arrangement may be considered for qualified candidates who operate as an established business. Terms, compensation, and project scope will be outlined in a separate contractor agreement
