Business Analyst
Data-Focused Business Analyst (Enterprise Reporting & Data Engineering Support). Company Overview: A large, enterprise-level organization is seeking a data-oriented Business Analyst to support ongoing data engineering, reporting, and analytics initiatives. The environment is cross-functional, involving close collaboration between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams to build and maintain reliable data solutions. Key Responsibilities:
- Gather, interpret, and translate business requirements into clear data, reporting, and system specifications
- Partner with technical teams to support the design and delivery of scalable data solutions
- Review incoming requests for new functionality or enhancements and assess feasibility and impact
- Analyze data and system issues, identifying root causes and supporting resolution efforts
- Validate data outputs and reporting results to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Assist with testing activities, including test planning, execution, and issue tracking
- Support implementation efforts and post-deployment stabilization
- Produce and maintain documentation for processes, data definitions, and system behavior
- Provide end-user support, training, and guidance to encourage adoption of data tools and reporting solutions
- Strong proficiency in SQL and experience working with relational data systems
- Background in business analysis within data, analytics, or reporting environments
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to bridge communication between technical teams and business stakeholders
- Experience supporting testing, validation, and implementation activities
- Solid understanding of data quality principles and root cause analysis
- Strong documentation and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, collaborative environment
