Role Overview
The Paraplanner – Client Engagement & Sales Support plays a key role in advancing new business and supporting our advisory team. This position is centered around two core responsibilities:
- Lead Qualification – You will conduct brief, structured phone calls with prospective clients to evaluate fit, capture essential information, and support the transition into the planning process.
- Planning Meeting Preparation – You will create custom-tailored, visually polished PowerPoint presentations that help advisors lead confident, personalized client meetings.
This is a collaborative, detail-heavy role requiring precision, excellent communication, and a strong grasp of the client journey in a planning-led advisory practice.
Key Responsibilities
1. Prospect Discovery & Lead Qualification
- Conduct 15-minute introductory phone calls with inbound leads using a standardized discovery script.
- This is not a sales or solicitation role — the purpose of the call is purely to qualify the prospect and gather information, not to sell products or close business.
- Evaluate potential fit based on planning needs, financial complexity, and alignment with Main Financial Group’s offerings.
- Accurately document call insights and action items in Wealthbox CRM
- Coordinate seamlessly with advisors on lead status, follow-ups, and scheduling considerations.
- Serve as a warm, knowledgeable first impression for prospective clients.
2. Sales Meeting Presentation Development
- Prepare advisor-facing PowerPoint presentations customized for each client’s planning meeting.
- Integrate financial data, goals, account summaries, and tailored insights into each slide deck.
- Follow firm branding and formatting standards while maintaining clarity and professionalism.
- Collaborate closely with advisors to incorporate real-time planning strategies and meeting objectives.

· Confident communicator with a warm, engaging phone presence.
· Meticulous with formatting and organization — detail is everything.
· Comfortable working with financial data and tools, and translating them into clear visuals.
· Proactive and responsive, with excellent time management skills.
· Able to work collaboratively while managing multiple priorities and deadlines
Required Qualifications
- 1–3 years of relevant experience in a financial planning, sales support, or advisory operations role
- Strong PowerPoint skills and experience creating high-quality visual materials
- Basic understanding of financial planning principles (e.g., retirement goals, asset allocation, net worth)
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Wealthbox CRM
- Experience working directly with advisors or in a planning-led firm
- Confidence in formatting financial data and insights into client-facing documents
