Finishing Supervisor | Lansing, MI

Salary Range: $56,000 - $83,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily finishing production activities and personnel.
• Ensure all finished products meet specified quality standards and customer requirements.
• Manage, train, and develop a team of finishing operators and technicians.
• Optimize production schedules and workflow to maximize efficiency and meet deadlines.
• Oversee the maintenance and proper operation of all finishing equipment.
• Implement and enforce all company safety policies and procedures within the finishing department.
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions as needed.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience in manufacturing finishing operations and team supervision.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with ability to train and motivate production teams.
• In-depth knowledge of quality control standards, inspection methods, and finishing techniques (e.g., painting, polishing, assembly).
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and production specifications.
• Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and adherence to manufacturing safety regulations.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to process improvement.

Bonus Qualifications

• Certification in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Experience with advanced finishing techniques such as powder coating, electroplating, or precision polishing.
• Proficiency with manufacturing execution systems (MES) or advanced ERP modules.
• Basic understanding of tooling and fixture design for finishing processes.
