Salary Range: $48,000 - $78,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining) machines, including wire and sinker EDMs.
• Load and verify CNC programs, making minor adjustments as required to optimize performance.
• Select, install, and align appropriate electrodes, wires, and workholding fixtures.
• Inspect finished parts for dimensional accuracy, surface finish, and quality using precision measuring instruments.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance and troubleshoot minor machine malfunctions.
• Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions to produce parts to specification.
• Maintain accurate production records and logs of machine performance and completed work.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience operating EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining) equipment, including wire and/or sinker EDM.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and geometric dimensioning & tolerancing (GD&T).
• Proficiency in machine setup, tooling, and fixturing for precision EDM operations.
• Skilled in using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and optical comparators.
• Strong mathematical aptitude and attention to detail for working with tight tolerances and complex geometries.
• Basic troubleshooting skills for machine adjustments and minor operational issues.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with other CNC machining processes (e.g., milling, turning).
• Proficiency in interpreting CAD models or CAM programs.
• Experience with precision metrology tools (e.g., CMM, optical comparators).
• Basic machine maintenance or troubleshooting skills for manufacturing equipment.
