Position: Full-time Spanish Teacher
St. Catherine of Siena Academy is an all girls’ Catholic High School in Wixom, Michigan. Our Mission is to transform the culture by inspiring young women to discover and develop their feminine genius- their unique identity and gifts as women created in the image of God.
St. Catherine of Siena Academy is seeking a qualified Full-time Spanish Teacher to join our faculty for the second semester. The ideal candidate is eager and excited about teaching a Spanish curriculum in a Catholic, faith-based environment. The position requires a strong background and certification in a related field of study.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher, with an up-to-date Michigan Teaching Certificate
- Highly capable of teaching a creative and enriching Spanish curriculum
- Demonstrates professional and personal characteristics necessary for working effectively with all students, parents and school personnel
- Demonstrates strong oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrates strong organizational and time management skills
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Knowledge of current teaching methods and educational pedagogy
- Ability to adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students’ varied needs and interests
- Willingness to collaborate in the ongoing development of a cohesive curriculum, utilizing the latest instructional strategies
- Flexibility and willingness to help in other areas of a dynamic high school environment
- Knowledge of applicable federal and state laws regarding education and students
- Ability to effectively use Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel as well as google classroom
